Preparing to Present

United Zion Church has as its primary objective in this small conference/workshop, to support and equip those who teach in developing the skills to communicate the message well, so that it can be understood by all.

We believe in our pastors, potential new pastors, Sunday School teachers and all those who desire to serve in teaching. It is our duty as a denomination to give our community of believers the necessary tools to serve in the call of our Lord.

We are pleased to invite you and your team to the activity that will take place on May 4th from 4:30 pm to 8 pm. This will take place at the premises of River Life Ministries Church.

This is open to all those who work teaching in your church. The supper is provided.

OVERVIEW

This workshop emphasizes the factors that lead to effective preaching and teaching, seeking your own creativity in them.

This workshop is designed to help people become skillful communicators of God’s Word by:

1. Reviewing, practicing and building on the stages of preaching the “big idea” , this big idea is what I want to communicate in my teaching.
2. Articulating a biblical-theological rationale for the need and practice of preaching in the 21st century.
3. Appreciating how imagination, creativity, and storytelling enhance the proclamation of truth.
4. Create and practice presentations that reflect an accurate interpretation of the biblical text.
5. Being aware of issues related to voice and body language in public communication.
